Professor Zhou Limin, Chair Professor of the School of System Design and Intelligent Manufacturing, Southern University of Science and Technology. Professor Zhou obtained a bachelor's and master's degree from Harbin Engineering University in 1982 and 1988, respectively, and a doctorate degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Sydney, Australia in 1994, and was awarded the Australian National Researcher Fund. He joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as an assistant professor in 1996 and was promoted to professor in 2005. From 2016 to 2018, he served as the founding director of the Interdisciplinary Faculty of Aeronautical Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. From 2018 to 2019, he served as the Associate Dean of the School of Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Professor Zhou currently serves as the vice chairman of the Chinese Society of Composite Materials. He founded and served as the editor-in-chief of the international journal "Composites Communications" in 2016. Professor Zhou has published more than 350 academic papers with H index >50.
