Associate Professor Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering

Dr. Lin Zeng is a tenure-track associate professor at Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering. Dr. Zeng received his Bachelor degree on electrochemical engineering and Master degree on applied chemistry from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2008 and 2010, respectively. He received his Ph.D. on mechanical engineering from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2014. Dr. Zeng was a postdoctoral research fellow at HKUST from 2015 to 2018. Dr. Zeng’s research interests mainly include fuel cell, water splitting, electrochemical energy storage materials and devices. Dr. Zeng led three research projects, one from National Natural Science Foundation of China, one from Guangdong Natural Science Foundation and one from Shenzhen Natural Science Foundation. Dr. Zeng has published more than 80 research articles in journals such as Nature Catalysis,Energy & Environmental Science, Nano Energy, Journal of Materials Chemistry A and Applied Energy. His Google Scholar Citation is over 3000 times and H-index is 32. Dr. Zeng has been serving a long time reviewer for prestigious journal such as Energy & Environmental Science and Journal of Materials Chemistry A.

       Professor Zeng's research area includes fuel cell, water splitting, redox flow battery and other electrochemical energy storage devices. He hosts three funds currently (one from National Natural Science Foundation of China, one from Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Research Foundation and one from Shenzhen Natural Science Foundation). He published more than 80 papers in top-rated journals, such as Nature Catalysis,Energy & Environmental Science, etc. According to Web of Science, his papers have been cited more than 3,000 times with H-index of 32. He served as the reviewer for more than 20 journals, such as Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews.
