Shuping Yi graduated from Jilin University with a Ph.D. degree in hydrogeology at Universidad de A Coruna, Spain. He is currently the Deputy Director of the Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Soil and Groundwater Pollution Prevention and Control. In 2014, he won the China Youth Geological Science and Technology Award - Silver Hammer Award. In 2016, he was awarded the title of Shenzhen Overseas High-level Talent (Peacock Class C). He has 14 years of study, research and work experience in hydrogeology and environmental engineering, including 4 years of joint EU project research experience and 5 years of corporate engineering practice experience. He has accumulated rich project research and engineering experience in the field of safe disposal of radioactive waste, mechanism and simulation of radionuclide migration, soil and water pollution investigation and restoration, groundwater circulation and environmental impact assessment.
