Assistant Professor School of Environmental Science and Engineering
Dr. Xia graduated from the University of Hong Kong. The research focuses on: Using the combination of next-generation sequencing technology and bioinformatics big data analysis to study the environmental microbial community composition and synergistic relationship (1) the efficiency of biological treatment technology; (2) the environmental distribution of pathogenic bacteria and The migration and transformation of antibiotic resistance genes in the environment; (3) the driving mechanism and ecological effects of environmental material circulation. She has published more than 20 SCI papers in important journals such as The ISME Journal, Environmental Microbiology, Biotechnology for Biofuels, Environmental Science & Technology. She has served as the Youth Ambassador of the American Society for Microbiology in Hong Kong and the Permanent Secretary of the Hong Kong University Graduate Association.
