Dr. Xia works on inorganic materials design and synthesis, and the application in energy storage and conversion systems, such as lithium-ion batteries, solid-state batteries, and fuel cells. He has developed the metal-organic framework (MOF) route to construct nanostructured electrode materials for batteries and fuel cells, which is now known as an efficient strategy to boost mass transport in electrochemical processes. He has published more than 30 papers in international journals including Energy & Environ mental Science, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Advanced Materials, Nano Letters. His papers have been cited for more than 3600 times. Four of them are selected as the ESI Highly Cited Papers. The H-index of Dr. Xia is 24.
