Research
Axially Chiral Chemistry: Construction and Application of Axially Chiral Molecules
Multi-component Reaction: Development of Catalytic Asymmetric Multi-component Reactions
Aryl Functionalization: Activation and Functionalization of Aryl Groups
Targeted Molecular Synthesis: Catalytic Asymmetric Synthesis of Drugs, Natural Products, and Bioactive Molecules
Teaching
I mainly taught four organic chemistry courses, including “General Chemistry”, “Asymmetric Synthesis”, “Fundamental Organic Chemistry Experiments” during the last four years. I have got “excellent” evaluations from students enrolled in these courses in all four years. In addition, I have been encouraging undergraduate students to carry out research in my research laboratory. Up to now, over 20 undergraduate students have ever entered my lab and some of them have continued their PhD study in oversea universities in USA and Singapore.

1. Since the establishment of the research group, our research group has made great progress in the catalytic asymmetric construction of axially chiral molecules, and has published many innovative articles in international top journals. Our research and achievements have greatly promoted the research boom of asymmetric axial chiral chemistry at home and abroad.
2, we have found and developed a variety of catalytic asymmetric multi-component reactions, providing a substantial library source for bioactive molecular screening as well as effective synthetic methods for asymmetric synthesis of related compounds.
