Research Assistant Professor Department of Physics
Dr. Shao received his B.S. in material physics from the Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU) in 2011, and his Ph.D. in condensed matter physics from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2016. He joined Southern University of Science and Technology as a research assistant professor in 2020.
Dr. Shao’s Research is mainly about the physical properties of materials in strong correlation systems such as magnetic topological insulators, superconductors and magnetic heterojunctions under comprehensive extreme conditions (ultra-low temperature, strong magnetic field and high pressure). The coordinated tuning effect of high pressure and electrostatic filed on the quantum transport properties of two-dimensional quantum devices.
