Assistant Professor Department of Ocean Science and Engineering
Dr. Fan is the principle investigator of the Lab of Microbial Informatics (LOMI) in the Department of Ocean Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology. His research interests include microbial ecology and evolution, microbial symbiosis, microbiome and virus interaction, computational biology, etc. As the first or corresponding author, he published papers in world-class journals including Nature Ecology & Evolution, PNAS, PNAS Nexus, ISME J, and EST. He was awarded the Young Scientist Prize of the European Society of Microbiology (FEMS), and the ‘Year Best Research’ Prize in marine environmental science in New South Wales, Australia.

现任南方科技大学海洋科学与工程系助理教授，博士生导师，独立PI，微生物信息学实验室（Lab of Microbial Informatics）负责人。毕业于浙江大学（导师华跃进教授）和澳大利亚新南威尔士大学（导师Torsten Thomas教授和Staffan Kjelleberg院士），曾在澳大利亚昆士兰大学（袁志国院士团队）和深圳华大基因工作。研究方向包括微生物生态与进化、微生物共生、微生物组与病毒组互作、计算微生物学等。曾担任广州医科大学和昆士兰大学客座研究员。曾以第一或通讯作者，在Nature Ecology & Evolution、PNAS、PNAS Nexus、ISME J、EST 等期刊上发表研究成果。已主持国家自然科学基金重大研究计划培育项目、面上项目等。曾获欧洲微生物学会（FEMS）青年科学家奖，澳大利亚新南威尔士州海洋科学最佳研究奖。

Research
Microbial Ecology and Evolution.
Current projects include
(1) Interactions in microbial-viral community, coevolutionary models, ecological functions;
(2) Genetic information flows in microbial symbiotic communities, roles in shaping host genomic evolution;
(3) Tracing human viruses in environments, models to predict community infection dynamics;
(4) The origins of microbial gene families and the corresponding geological records.
1、生命与生命的演化：动物宿主与共生微生物互作的分子机制、共生微生物群落构建机制、内稳态与应对环境扰动机制。
2、生命与地球的演化：早期地球生命形式和基因家族起源与地球和宇宙环境，分子演化学方法创新。
3、生命与信息的演化：微生物组信号调控机制，病毒组与微生物组网络调控机制，遗传信息在细胞间的传播机制。
本实验室从信息论的角度研究遗传和非遗传信息在微生物细胞间、群落间和环境（宿主）间的传递规律。探索各类生命演化现象背后的信息学原理。重点关注病毒群落和微生物群落互作中信息传递的分子生物学机制和生态学模型，动物共生微生物与宿主间的信息交流机制，以及生物大分子信息与地质信息的共演化。
当前具体研究课题：
（1）病毒组与微生物组互作；
（2）病毒起源与演化；
（3）生命演化与地质耦合；
（4）环境与共生微生物组演化及大健康。

2、具有国内外高水平大学生物、医学或环境方向博士学位。本科为生物学背景或有较好微生物学学科背景优先。
3、具有相应领域的研究和学术论文撰写经历，博士期间以一作发表相关领域高水平英文论文1篇或以上。
4、熟悉微生物（宏）基因组数据。熟练操作Linux系统，掌握Python、R等编程语言，有较好的数理统计基础。
5、自学能力强，具有较好的英文文献阅读归纳能力，学术英语写作能力；工作认真负责，严谨诚实；善于团队合作，积极与导师和同事沟通工作中遇到的问题。
薪酬福利：
（1）博士后聘用期两年，年薪33万元起，含广东省生活补贴15万元及深圳市生活补贴6万元，并按深圳市有关规定参加社会保险及住房公积金。博士后福利费参照学校教职工标准发放。
（2）特别优秀候选人可以申请校长卓越博士后，年薪可达50万元以上。（含广东省及深圳市在站生活补贴）。
（3）在站期间，可依托学校申请深圳市公租房，未依托学校使用深圳市公租房的博士后，可享受两年税前2800元/月的住房补贴。
（4）拥有优良的工作环境和境内外合作交流机会，博士后在站期间享受两年共计2.5万学术交流经费资助。
（5）课题组协助符合条件的博士后申请“广东省海外人才支持项目”。即在世界排名前200名的高校（不含境内，排名以上一年度泰晤士、USNEWS、QS和上海交通大学的世界大学排行榜为准）获得博士学位，在广东省博士后设站单位从事博士后研究，并承诺在站2年以上的博士后，申请成功后省财政给予每名进站博士后资助60万元生活补贴（与广东省及深圳市在站博士后生活补贴不同时享受）；对获得本项目资助，出站后与广东省用人单位签订工作协议或劳动合同，并承诺连续在粤工作3年以上的博士后，省财政给予每人40万元住房补贴。
（6）博士后出站选择留深从事科研工作，且与本市企事业单位签订3年以上劳动（聘用）合同的，可以申请深圳市博士后留深来深科研资助。深圳市政府给予每人每年10万元科研资助，共资助3年（以深圳市最新申报要求为准）。
（7）根据《深圳市新引进博士人才生活补贴工作实施办法》规定，新引进博士人才生活补贴（10万元）与省市博士后在站生活补贴不同时享受。
