The 2021 International Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB 2021 http://ijcb2021.iapr-tc4.org/) was turned to fully online from a hybrid conference because of the pandemic. IJCB 2021 was held during August 4 to August 7. The students in our group worked for IJCB 2021 and made the online conference smoothly held. Great thanks to all of them.

Our paper "Xinhui Wu, Shiqi Yu and Yongzhen Huang, Multiscale Temporal Network for Video-Based Gait Recognition, Proc. of the 14th Chinese Conference on Biometric Recognition (CCBR2019), Pages 75-83, Zhuzhou, China, October 12–13, 2019." won the best paper award in the 14th Chinese Conference on Biometric Recognition (CCBR2019). Our group member, Mr. Zihao Mu, is visiting Prof. Nicolás Guil Mata group at University of Malaga, Spain. He will spend 3 months in University of Malaga from September to December, 2019 to work on gait recognition with Prof. Nicolás Guil Mata, Dr. Francisco Manuel Castro Payan and Prof. Manuel J Marin-Jimenez from University of Córdoba.

Miss Weizhi An visited Prof. Yasushi Yagi's group the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research (ISIR) at Osaka University, Japan from Feburay to May 2019. She worked with Prof. Yasushi Makihara, Prof. Yasushi Yagi and other members from ISIR at Osaka University. ISIR is one of the most famous research group on gait recognition.
