From December 4th to 7th, 2020, group members Chang Liu, Xiao-Ming Ma, Ruie Lu, and Yu-Jie Hao went to Zhanjiang, Guangdong to participate in the 2020 Guangdong Physical Society Annual Meeting. This annual meeting was hosted by the Guangdong Physical Society and undertaken by Lingnan Normal University. At the meeting, Dr. Ruie Lu gave an […]
Recently, members of our group gain new progress in the field of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). The results have been published in the applied physics journal Applied Physics Letters, entitled “Quantum-confinement-induced periodic surface states in two-dimensional metal-organic frameworks”. Figure: The electronic structures of single-layer Cu-T4PT MOFs grown on Cu(111). (a) A STM image of Cu-T4PT MOFs. […]
Recently, group members joined a team of researchers at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) making significant progress in magnetic topological materials. They elucidate an unprecedented hybridization effect between the building blocks of the topological surface states and reveal the termination-dependent time-reversal symmetry breaking in a magnetic topological insulator. Department of Physics Associate Professor […]
Recently, collaboration between our group and the group of Qihang Liu from the Department of Physics, and Chaoyu Chen from the Institute for Quantum Science and Engineering, SUSTech had led to important progress in the field of magnetic topological materials. Our results have been published in the top physics journal Physical Review X. This […]
On November 27, 2019, group members Liu Chang and Liu Xiangrui, published an invited review article entitled "Angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy studies on three dimensional strong topological insulators and magnetic topological insulators" on the journal Acta Physica Sinica of the Chinese Physical Society. Paper link: http://wulixb.iphy.ac.cn/CN/abstract/abstract75054.shtml Abstract of Paper: The discovery of topological materials – condensed […]
Group members conducted ARPES experiments at Hiroshima Synchrotron Radiation Center (HiSOR), Hiroshima, Japan From Oct. 22 to Nov. 12, 2019. It was late autumn, golden autumn leaves covers the school road. We also enjoyed Japanese cuisine in addition to the experiment.
