Yuanmin Zhu received his B.E. Degree in University of Petroleum China in 2010. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Material Science from University of Science and Technology Beijing, China in Jan 2016. Then, he entered the Beijing Eelctron Microscopy Center in Tsinghua University as a postdoc researcher. In June 2018, He joined in SUSTech Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, Southern University of Science and Technology as a Research Assistant Professor. His research interests include the atomic and electronic structures of materials surface and interface based on the Aberration-Corrected Transmission Electron Microscopy; Micro- dynamic behaviors of the Nano-Energy materials using in-situ Environmental-TEM. Dr. Zhu has published over 40 articles in international journals including ACS Nano, Nanoenergy, Energy Storage Materials, Nanoscale, Appl. Phys. Lett., ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces., Adv. Mater. Interfaces., etc. His publications have been cited over 400 times.

1. Research on the atomic and electronic structures of materials surface and interface based on the Aberration-Corrected Transmission Electron Microscopy.

2. Research on Nano-Energy materials using in-situ TEM.

3. Structure characterizations of Beam-sensitive materials by Cryo-TEM and related technologies.

3. Structural investigations on the heterostructures, growth behaviors, defects, etc in self-assembled epitaxial nanocomposite thin films by the Advanced Transmission Electron Microscopy technologies

Dr. Zhu has focused his research on the atomic and electronic structures of surface and interface in the nanomaterials or heteroepitaxial structures based on the Aberration-Corrected Transmission Electron Microscopy; Micro- dynamic behaviors of the Nano-Energy materials using in-situ Environmental-TEM.
