He received the Ph.D. Degree from The University of British Columbia, Canada. His research interests mainly include Internet of Things, wireless sensor networks, cloud computing, big data, social networks, and security. He has authored more than 100 publications published or accepted by refereed international journals (e.g., IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Computers, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing, IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing, ACM Transactions on Embedded Computing Systems, ACM Transactions on Cyber-Physical Systems, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Systems Journal), magazines (e.g., IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Wireless Communications, IEEE Network), and conferences (e.g., IEEE INFOCOM, IEEE IECON, IEEE SECON, IEEE DCOSS, IEEE ICC, IEEE GLOBECOM). His papers were recognized by the 2018 IEEE Systems Journal Best Paper Award, the 2017 IEEE Systems Journal Best Paper Award, the ESI Hot Papers, and the ESI Highly Cited Papers. He serves as an Associate Editor of IEEE Access, a Guest Editor for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, ACM/Springer Mobile Networks and Applications, Sensors, and etc. He serves/served as the Co-chair/Program co-chair/Track co-chair/Symposium co-chair/Workshop co-chair/Panel co-chair/Publicity co-chair/Publication co-chair/Local co-chair of around 50 international conferences/workshops/symposiums. He achieved many awards and scholarships (e.g., 2017 IEEE TCSC Early Career Researcher Award, Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad, Four Year Doctoral Fellowship).
