Professor Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering

Prof. Yang obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Department of Automation, the University of Science and Technology of China in 2001 and 2004, then PhD Degree from Department of Mechanical Engineering, The University of Hong Kong in 2008, all in the area of systems and control. From 2008 to 2010, he was a postdoctoral researcher in Hong Kong Polytechnic University. From 2010 to 2017, he was an associate professor/a full professor with College of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University. His main research interests include smart grid, automatic control, signal processing and so on. The research was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National High-tech R&D Program of China, National Basic Research Program of China, Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China, Science and technology planning project of Guangdong Province of China and the industry. He is the PI of more than 10 research projects.He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers, which have received more than 2000 citations, and his H-index is 20 (according to Google scholar).He is an associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics and a member of IEEE IES smart grid committee.

Professor

He was the recipient of Outstanding Young Research award of Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and a full professor with College of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University. His main research interests include smart grid, automatic control, signal processing and so on. He has published near 100 peer-reviewed papers and is the PI of more than 10 research projects. He is an associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics.

Prof. Yang is mainly engaged in the research of optimization and control of large-scale networked systems. His research has been applied in many areas such as power systems, transportation systems and sensor networks. He is the PI of three national scientific research projects, two provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, one Shenzhen municipal scientific research project and two industrial collaboration projects. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers, including 50 SCI papers (25 papers published in the last 5 years) including 34 IEEE Trans. papers (27 papers published in the last 5 years). His publications, 3 of which are ESI most-cited papers, have been cited for more than 2000 times, and his H-index is 20 (according to Google Scholar).
