Research Assistant Professor School of Environmental Science and Engineering

Xuejing Wang received his Ph.D. Degree in Groundwater Science and Engineering from China University of Geosciences (Beijing) in 2016, then worked as a post-doctoral research fellow in School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology. He was awarded as Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2016. His major research interests include submarine groundwater discharge (SGD) and environmental of coastal groundwater flow and associated chemical transport. His research has been supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. He has participated in, as a key member, several research projects, which are related to groundwater environment and submarine groundwater discharges (SGD), including NSFC project “Submarine groundwater discharges and their environmental effects in Bohai Sea and Jiaozhou Bay”, and “973” project “Nutrients transportation and transformation mechanisms and their environmental effects in bays”. He has published about 30 academic papers, most of which were published in high impact international journals like Water Resources Research (WRR), Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta (GCA), Journal of Hydrology, Advance in Water Resources, etc. He has served as reviewer for Journal of Hydrology, Hydrological Processes, Science of the Total Environment.
