Research Assistant Professor Department of Biomedical Engineering

Dr. GUO Zhiyong is a research assistant professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology. He obtained his doctor’s degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) in 2015. During his Ph.D., he mainly worked on the optimization design of a magnetic anomaly detection instrument and developed the differences detection theory. From 2015 to 2018, he worked on Instrument Science and Technology as a senior lecturer and director of Sichuan Province Applied Basic Research Project at Southwest Petroleum University. In addition, he focuses on the detection application of UCNPs as a visiting scholar at University of Technology Sydney in 2016. He has published more than 20 research papers and granted four invention patents. Currently, his research interests focused on time-resolved fluorescence imaging devices R & D for pathological diagnostics and industrialization of super resolution fluorescence imaging with UCNPs.
