Research Assistant Professor Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Sciences
Dr. Shaoyu Li obtained his B.S. degree in Material Chemistry from the Liaoning University in 2005 and his M.S. degree in Organic Synthesis from the Shanghai University in 2008. In 2013, he finished his Ph.D. at the Fudan University under the supervision of Prof. Jie Wu, where his research focused on the construction of N-heterocycles with biological activity. After working at the China Petroleum Pipeline Company for more than two years, he joined Prof. Tan Bin’s group at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) as a postdoctoral researcher in March 2016, where his research focused on the catalytic asymmetric synthesis of axially chiral molecules. Since July 2018, he has become a Research Assistant Professor of SUSTech Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies to continue his research on asymmetric construction of axially chirality and related application research.
We seek to discover new active species and practical chemical reactions for the efficient construction of chiral substances. We are committed to breaking traditional rules and promoting innovation in chemistry.
