His research is mainly focused on the migration and transformation behavior of persistent organic pollutants and heavy metal pollutants in the water environment, the biochar control technology for toxic pollutants, and the screening method of endocrine disruptor hormone effect based on DGT technology and luciferase expression gene technology (CALUX). He has published more than 30 academic papers as the first or corresponding author. The most of the papers have been published on some top and famous SCI journals including Analytical Chemistry, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Science Total of Environment, Chemosphere, Ecological Indicators, Ecological Engineering, Chemical Engineering Journal, etc. He has presided over and participated in more than 20 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Science and Technology Foundation Project, the National Water Project, the National 973 Project, the Ministry of Water Resources and the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Beijing Natural Fund, the Ministry of Education and the Beijing Key Laboratory Open Fund, the Postdoctoral Fund, and the Project of Belgian Government such as BELSPO and the Belgian government FWO. He has gained 3 national invention patents. His publications have been cited by >1400 times, with the highest one of >200 times and including ESI High cited paper 1 paper. HI index is 18. He has won the title of Young Backbone Teacher Program of North China Electric Power University, Shenzhen Peacock Plan C and Nanshan Pilot Talent C.

Published 31 SCI papers as the first / corresponding author in mainstream journals in the field of environmental and ecology: Analytical Chemistry, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Science Total of Environment, Chemosphere, Ecological Indicators, Ecological Engineering, Chemical Engineering Journal, etc. A high-throughput analysis method of estrogen effects based on the combination of DGT and CALUX technology was established, which can accurately and highly sensitively respond to estrogen effects in different water environments in situ, and reveal the behavior and rules of estrogen migration and transformation in the interface environment.
