Dr.Yuanmin Zhu Research on the atomic and electronic structures of materials surface and interface based on the Aberration-Corrected Transmission Electron Microscopy; Structural investigations on the heterostructures, growth behaviors, defects, etc in self-assembled epitaxial nanocomposite thin films by the Advanced Transmission Electron Microscopy technologies (i.e. HR-TEM, HR-STEM analysis, HREDS, EELS analysis and GPA analysis); Research on Nano-Energy materials using in-situ TEM.
Dr. Shuhuai Xiang obtained his Ph.D. degree from University of California at Merced after graduated from Sichuan University with his B.S degree in Chemistry. His doctoral research areas range from the design and manufacturing of organic-inorganic complex functional materials to organic reaction mechanistic study using kinetic isotope effect as the primary tool. He is currently working in Dr. Meng Gu’s lab as a postdoc. He is currently focusing on energy storage materials with research projects such as design and manufacturing of solid state electrolyte, all-solid-state battery and lithium-sulfur battery.
Dr.Qi Wang research interests are focused on the study of structure evolution of catalyst under different atmosphere via in-situ TEM/STEM/EELS to understand catalytic performance from atomic level. Besides，I also focus on synthesis, characterization and design of novel metal alloy, Metal-X nanostructure (X represent O, S, Se, N, P et al.), inorganic-organic hybrid nanomaterials for application in catalysis (photocatalysis, fuel cell, water split, CO2 reduction) as well as the underlying mechanism between performance and structure/compositon.
